Chichester Cathedral's Conservation Plan, completed in 2008, contains a wealth of information that helps the reader understand our splendid cathedral and Close and assesses the significance of the buildings as well as the contents and collections.
The plan also discusses the conservation issues faced by Chapter and outlines the policies with which Chapter seeks to maintain its heritage.
The final section of the plan is a gazetteer that lists and describes the exterior and main elements of the cathedral building and the various and varied buildings in the Precinct.
This is a living document that will be regularly reviewed by Chapter and updated as necessary.
