Time and Talents...

The Cathedral community at Chichester is dependant upon a large number of volunteers who do various jobs, large and small around the Cathedral.  Some volunteers give an hour a month, others are able to give more time and take on larger roles.  Many take on more than one job.

Among the jobs volunteers carry out are:

• guiding
• doorkeeping
• flower arranging
• manning the information desk
• education work
• stuffing envelopes
• cleaning
• embroidering
• stewarding

Our 600 volunteers make up a team without whom the Cathedral would not be able to operate as it does.  For many it gives an opportunity to meet new people and learn new skills. Every year all the volunteers are invited to a garden party by the Dean and Chapter to say thank you for all their hard work and commitment throughout the year.

Christian Stewardship
The aim of Stewardship is to support the Dean & Chapter in all aspects of their work and aspirations.  The assured income from committed giving is a vital component of the Cathedral's income.
