Education Volunteer

The Cathedral has a very active education department and always welcomes new volunteers who are able to give at least one hour a month. 
 

Many of the volunteers are ex-teachers but this is not essential, enthusiasm is the most important requirement.

Among the jobs carried out by education volunteers are:

- Guiding children's tours
- Helping at workshops eg stained glass, heraldry and brass rubbing
- Making costumes for children

Police checks are mandatory for all education volunteers.  Full information on how to go about this will be given when you have been accepted as a volunteer. 

The minimum commitment is two hours a month but realistically you should be prepared to give more than the minimum commitment.
