Tours of the Cathedral

Regular Tours

Our trained guides conduct general guided tours of the cathedral at 11.15am and 2.30pm
(Monday - Saturday).  The tours last approximately 45 minutes.

A roving guide is available, morning and afternoon, to answer your questions if you do not wish to go on a tour.

Groups should book their visit in advance in order to avoid services and other events.

Group Guided Tours

If you wish to bring a group to visit the cathedral our guides can provide general or specialist tours. We suggest a donation of £3.00 per adult and £1.50 per child/student for a guided tour.

Our specialist tours include:

Civil War Tours
Behind-the-scenes (includes Cathedral Library, Cathedral Song School and the Bishop's Chapel)
Cathedral Music
The Art of Chichester Cathedral
Stained Glass
Embroidery in the Cathedral
Monuments of the Cathedral
Architecture of the Cathedral

We suggest a donation of £4.50 per adult for a specialist tour.

Our Visitor Services Officer (01243 812482) would be happy to discuss your arrangements and help organise a visit that suits your group.  Whatever the age, interests and needs of your group we look forward to welcoming them to Chichester Cathedral and sharing this wonderful, living, working building with you.
