Family Activity in the Eastern Arm of the Cloisters
The Cloisters at Chichester Cathedral can get very noisy during the school holidays with families enjoying a variety of craft activities. In the past the Eastern Arm has played host to brass rubbing, 'weaving' stained glass windows and making some very scary gargoyles. Children always enjoy these sessions, but their parents and grandparents can often be persuaded to have a go, making it a real 'family' event.
Wednesday 15th February - Colourful Cathedral (10.30am - 12.30pm)
Explore the Cathedral seeking out some of the many colourful objects. Then on to the Eastern Arm of the Cloisters to create your own work of art using coloured acetates - lots of cutting and sticking involved to make a stained glass window. It will look lovely on your window at home with the light bringing the colours to life.
No booking required - just turn up.
Children must be accompanied by an adult
Cost of activity: £1.50
Wednesday 4th April - Cathedral Crowns and Coronets (10.30am - 12.30pm)
Wednesday 25th July - Peregrines and Pigeons with the RSPB (10.30am - 12.30pm)
Wednesday 29th August - Brass Rubbing (10.30am - 12.30pm)
