The Octagon in Lent
Talks and Compline at East Marden
At 7pm on Thursday evenings during Lent there will be a talk followed by some organ music and the evening service of Compline, the whole lasting about 45 minutes. The theme for the talks is "Celebrating our faith". Those giving the talks, together with their individual titles, are:-
11 March: Mark Dunn - Chairman WSCC - "History of Education in West Sussex, sacred and profane".
18 March: Jane Hald - Lay Reader - "Burden or privilege".
25 March: Revd Dr John Strain - our Vicar - "Celebrating where we are".
It promises to be an interesting series of talks which, combined with some music and the gentle end of the day service of Compline, should make Thursday evenings in Lent a special time.
