Cloisters Restaurant Re-opens Refreshed and Refurbished...

Cloisters Cafe
Cloisters Interior

After a two week closure the Cloisters Café re-opened to the public on Monday 7th March 2016.  A new contemporary colour scheme, enhanced lighting and new counter fixtures have given this popular dining space a new lease of life.

Visitors to the café will be able to enjoy some exciting new additions to the café's already extensive menu.  Mezzaluna, Flaguette, Sesame & Nigella Seed Panini breads will join the already popular hot sandwich options.  Every Thursday will be 'Carvery Day' when the chefs will hand carve the roast of the day.

A new range of soft drinks and the new Fairtrade bean-to-cup coffee machines are already proving very popular with our visitors!

From now until June the café walls will play host to an exhibition of quintessentially British signed prints by artist designer Kelly Hall.  Kelly's modern vintage artwork collections take you on a journey around the rich culinary heritage and the iconic beauty spots of the British Isles, from Sussex to Scotland.  All of the prints are available for purchase.

All profits from the Cloisters Café are returned to Dean & Chapter so that they can pursue the continued upkeep of this beautiful Cathedral and historic landmark.  It is the aim of the Dean & Chapter to maintain free entry to the Cathedral and the income generated by the café helps towards this.
