Ringing of Cathedral Bells to Celebrate Two Special Occasions in September...

Bell Tower
Bell Tower

There will be two full peals from the Bell Tower at Chichester Cathedral to mark two special occasions during September 2015.

The first will take place on Thursday 10th September 2015 to celebate the day on which Her Majesty the Queen will become the longest reigning monarch in our country's history.  Chichester will be joining together with other Cathedrals and Churches across the nation in ringing to celebrate this historic occasion.

The second full peal will take place on Wednesday 30th September 2015 to celebrate the lives of Richard and Barbara Mosse.  Richard Mosse was a founder of the Chichester Festival Theatre and held the position of Company Secretary for thirty years.  Barbara Mosse had a successful career in teaching as well as dedicating her time to the Samaritans, Citizens Advice and Scope.  Both worked tirelessly for the local community and offered a lifelong commitment to the Festival Theatre.

Each peal will last approximately three hours and will take place between 1pm and 5pm in the afternoon.
