An Illustrated Lecture by Jaume Plensa

On Thursday 17th March hundreds attended the lecture delivered by Jaume Plensa, the internationally renowned Barcelona based sculptor.  He delivered his lecture in the Nave of the Cathedral and spoke about some of his previous work, and focused on his proposal for the Hussey Commission, entitiled 'Together'.

The Dean & Chapter hope to commission this work for the aerial space above the Arundel Screen, subject to statutory permissions and external funding.

The lecture was introduced by the Chancellor, Canon Dr Anthony Cane who reminded the audience of the careful process Chapter has followed to date.
