This historic house, at 4 Canon Lane, is located in the heart of the Georgian city of Chichester, within the picturesque grounds of the Cathedral's Close. A former archdeaconry, it is has been restored to its former glory, offering the perfect setting for away-days, meetings, quiet days, residential weekends, and conferences for up to 40 people.
The house is suitable for:
- Parish and Deanery groups
- Those engaged in scholarly and cultural pursuits
- Those working for justice, peace and reconciliation
- Church groups of any denomination
The house offers two conference rooms, a dining room, a garden room, an oratory for individual prayer, and eight superb en-suite bedrooms. The bedrooms consist of four twin or large double rooms, three standard doubles and a ground floor single room with wheelchair accessible facilities. There is also a beautiful garden, which if need be can accommodate a marquee for up to 120 seated people.
As well as providing a venue for groups, the house is also developing its own programme of events and educational opportunities. Full conference facilities are available along with many catering options to suit your budget, provided on site by the Cathedral's own Cloisters Hospitality Team.
The house is also available for commercial use and can be hired for private functions (click here for more information). Rooms in the house can also be hired on an individual basis. These commercial activities are designed to help fund the house's primary use.
