Until Sunday 2nd July - Come and see the famous Chichester Cathedral Peregrines.  View them online by clicking here or in the RSPB marquee off of the Cloisters Café.

Wednesday 28th: 7.30pm  'Comedy of Errors' by William Shakespeare performed by The Lord Chamberlain's Men on the Cathedral's south west lawn.  Bring a rug and a picnic and enjoy the show!  Click here for more information.

JULY:

Monday 3rd: 3.00pm - 4.15pm  'War and Peace: Chichester Cathedral in The First World War'  What role did the Cathedral play during the First World War and after?  Learn more about the Royal Sussex Regiment and the heroism of individuals remembered in the Cathedral.  At the end there will be an opportunity to view some wartime memorabilia and maybe learn about an ancestor who fought.  Click here to book tickets online or telephone 01243 816525.  (This tour is also running on 10th and 14th July).

Monday 11th: 6.30pm in the Cathedral.  South Downs Poetry Festival: Painting and Poems.  A celebration of poet and painter Frieda Hughes' exhibition '400 Days' and 'Alternative Values' at the Cathedral (until 17th August 2017).  Join South Downs poets Stephanie Norgate, Sam Meekings, Barry Smith and Costa Award winner John Haynes for a stimulating reading of new poetry alongside classic Sussex poems read by professional actors.  Click here to book tickets online or telephone 01243 816525.

Saturday 15th - Thursday 27th: 'Year of the Bible Diocesan Schools Art Competition'.  Exhibition of winning entries in the Eastern Arm of the Cloisters.  Open daily with free entry.

Saturday 15th: 1.00pm - 4.00pm  Free entry and all are welcome.  See Behind the Scenes at Chichester Cathedral.  As part of the Festival of Chichester areas of the Cathedral normally closed to the public will be open to visitors.  Click here for more information.

SEPTEMBER:

Friday 1st:  10.00am - 12noon  Friends' Monthly Coffee Morning in Vicars' Hall.  All are welcome.

Saturday 9th:  1.00pm - 4.00pm  Free entry and all are welcome.  See Behind the Scenes at Chichester Cathedral.  As part of Heritage Open Days areas of the Cathedral normally closed to the public will be open to visitors.  The Song School is high up in the Cathedral's triforium - come and discover its secret chamber!  The Cathedral Library is also situated in the Cathedral's heights and the Bishop's Chapel is the private chapel of the Bishop of Chichester.  (There are 40 spiral steps up to the Song School and the Library).

Thursday 21st: All day event.  'Live Better Together'  Join us here at Chichester Cathedral to celebrate the International Day of Peace which is observed around the world each year on 21st September.  This special day of engaging activities that explores the ideals of peace and reconciliation will include talks, creative workshops and a film screening.  More information to follow.
