Chorister Auditions

The Cathedral choir is now looking for new choristers to join the choir in September 2012.  Auditions will take place on Saturday 5th November 2011 and places will be available for boys who are currently in school years 2 & 3. 

Cathedral Choristers have the unique opportunity to receive world-class tuition and become the very heart of Cathedral life.  During term time the Choir sings Evensong in the Cathedral six days a week, as well as Mattins and the Sung Eucharist on Sunday.  There are also a number of additional services throughout the year, including the Cathedral's hugely popular Christmas Carol Services.  Chorister also get the opportunity to travel, the next trip planned is to Ravenna in Italy, a city which is twinned with Chichester.

Choristers are educated at the Prebendal School and the Dean & Chapter provide choristers with scholarships worth 50% of the full boarding fees.  For boys who are showing special promise, places may be awarded with scholarships covering 100% of the fees.  A fabulous opportunity.
