'The Bible in the Public Square' Chancellor's Lectures 2017.

In 2017 the Chancellor, Canon Dr Anthony Cane, is sharing his annual series of public lectures with three distinguished bible scholars: Dr Hannah Strommen, Professor James Crossley and Professor Richard Bauckham. 

'The Bible in a Post-truth World' was the first lecture in the series and was given by Canon Dr Anthony Cane, on Monday 5th June, in the Cathedral.

'The Bible in Contemporary Culture' was the second lecture in the series and was given by Dr Hannah Strommen, University of Chichester, on Monday 12th June, in the Cathedral.

'The Bible in English Politics' was the third lecture in the series and was given by Professor James Crossley, St Mary's University, Twickenham, on Monday 26th June, in the Cathedral.

'The Bible in the Ecological Debate' was the fourth lecture in the series and was given by Professor Richard Bauckham, University of St Andrews, on Monday 3rd July, in the Cathedral.

'Church Schools and British Values in a Secular Society'
A Chichester Theological Society lecture by Dr Bob Bowie, Director of the National Institute for Christian Education Research,  Canterbury Christ Church University.  This lecture took place at the Cathedral on Monday 13th February 2017.
