Tidy St. Art School and Chichester Cathedral are excited to announce Paint Out Masters 2021 (POM21) - an outdoor painting competition taking place across Chichester’s historic Cathedral Quarter, designed to draw out the local artistic talent.

As part of The Festival of Chichester, the event invites artists of all ages and abilities to compete to become a Paint Out Master 2021 and share their creations online, using the hashtag #POM21.

The brainchild of Lucie Cookson from Tidy St. School of Arts, this live art experience celebrates painting, drawing and being outside in beautiful surroundings.

Week 1 (12th June) is for adults. A shortlist of paintings completed on the day will be selected for an exhibition taking place later this year, with an array of awards and prizes. There will also be postcards of selected works available at the Cathedral shop.

Tutors and professional artists will be on site demonstrating technique and creative support. There will be live broadcasting and images from the event for those who cannot join in person.

Tickets can be bought from the Novium Box Office. Profits from the event will go to the Bell Tower Drop-In: a place for young people of secondary school age in Chichester to engage with their friends after school in a safe environment
