Dementia Friendly Carol Service
Wednesday 6th December 2.30 – 3.00pm, followed by refreshments

Designed to be accessible for people living with dementia and their carers, the Cathedral’s first ever Dementia Friendly Carol Service will celebrate Christmas with carols, short prayers, readings, and a simple retelling of the Christmas story assisted by local school children. 

The service will be followed by refreshments in the South Transept of the Cathedral.  The Cathedral Nave is fully accessible. All staff facilitating this event are Dementia Friends trained.  Residential homes are welcome to bring groups.

Guided Tours of the Cathedral (For groups)

Join one of our guides for a relaxed and dementia friendly tour of the Cathedral which will introduce you to some of the highlights of this ancient building. Enjoy experiencing this beautiful place and find out about some of the Cathedral’s artistic treasures, with an emphasis on multi-sensory learning. £3 per person, carers go free.
