Sacred Space and Tourism Study Day
Ideal for BTEC, GCSE/HND/A Level Tourism, Events Management, Business Studies, RE Students
Chichester Cathedral is opening its doors to Hospitality, Tourism, Events Management and/or Business Studies students at its next Sacred Space & Tourism Exploration Day, date yet to be announced.  This inspiring day explores the Cathedral’s many commercial activities such as weddings, corporate hospitality and targeted seasonal events in venues such as 4 Canon Lane, with b&b and delegate rooms, and Vicar’s Hall for banquets and presentations.  Students will also get an insight into the Cathedral’s sacred activities with a tour of its historic interior to consider its primary purpose as a space of worship and prayer.  Along the way they will be introduced to the many people that work behind the scenes.  Students will then have the unique opportunity to question how these many functions coexist with a panel of key members of Cathedral staff and representatives. £12.50 per student (£11.25 School Friends).

Photography and Sacred Space Study Day (KS3-5)
Through photographs and stories from Africa and beyond, Gail Ward will introduce students to the theme ‘Sacred Spaces’. The day can be tailored for students of all ages and abilities, who will be encouraged to interpret the question ‘what is a sacred space’  through discussion, activities and looking at the context of ‘sacred spaces’ with a visit to Chichester Cathedral. £15 per student (£13.50 for School Friends).
