Resources for Family Activities at Home

In response to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the Cathedral's Families and Young People's Officer Luna Russell has outlined a number of resources families and children can access from home.

"Offering engaging opportunities for families is really important to us.  During this period, when we are unable to offer Family Activity Days at the Cathedral, we have been searching online to find new activity ideas for you to do at home.

If it is a making activity consider giving your creation to somebody to brighten their day like our Young Ambassadors have been doing.

Remember you can also share your creations with us online using #chichestercathedral or link to the Learning Twitter or Instagram channels, as well as with the originator of the activity.

Happy Creating!"

Events & Activities

Remote Art Views@Chichester Cathedral

ArtViews is an opportunity to look at and discuss a selected work of art in Chichester Cathedral. The sessions are open to anyone interested in joining the art discussion and are also dementia friendly.

Unfortunately ArtViews@Chichester Cathedral events in the Cathedral are currently on hold.  In the meantime we are excited to launch a remote version of ArtViews and would be so pleased if you could join us online for discussions about art in the Cathedral.

These will take place on social media (Facebook, Twitter & Instagram) from Saturday 11th April 2020 - 10.00am, with questions being posted throughout the day.

"Author and Illustrator, Rob Biddulph, is showing everyone how to draw characters from his books. Why not have a go at creating your own Stegosaurus or Bear by watching the short videos on Rob's website.

And here's (right) my drawing of Fred Bear.

I hope that you have as much fun as I did when you create your drawings."
