Student groups from outside the UK are always welcome at Chichester Cathedral. The 900 year old Cathedral is a beautiful, historic place of worship and a unique educational resource. Situated in the very heart of the city of Chichester the cathedral is famous for many of its features, including its extensive collection of art. We welcome groups from all over the world who come to experience this very special place.
The cathedral has a busy programme of events, plus daily services, so we would ask that you always book your group visit with our Visitor Services Department at:
firstname.lastname@example.org or telephone 01243 813586 before the date of your intended visit.
Visits are always free-flow (unguided) as we tend to find that the free-flow system suits foreign language students better and we provide welcome leaflets in a wide range of languages; these leaflets guide visitors around the cathedral at their own pace. We are both tourist attraction and working church, so please do also ensure that your students are properly supervised at all times.
There is a charge of £2.00 per student but we do not ask for anything per adult as we encourage you to bring as many adults as are needed to adequately supervise the group. Payment may be made by cash, cheque (payable to the Dean and Chapter of Chichester Cathedral), or voucher.
We look forward to welcoming your groups to the Cathedral.
