BBC One's 'Inside Out South' team have been filming in Chichester recently and the city will feature in the Inside Out programme to be shown on Monday 22nd September at 7.30pm.  The BBC cameras have followed some of this year's National Open Art Competition and will tell the story of this successful Chichester initiative.  The camera crew also visited a few of the city's wonderful artistic and cultural features - for example filming has taken place at Chichester Cathedral and at the Goodwood estate too.  It is anticipated that the piece on Chichester will be about 10 minutes long.

The National Open Art Competition is chaired by the Chichester artist and sculptor Neil Lawson-Baker and administered by the Chichester Art Trust, a charity that aims to provide an open and fair platform for all UK artists to promote their work through the medium of an annual competition.  This competition now produces exhibitions which are shown in London, Chichester and other venues around the UK.  The Duke of Richmond is president of the Chichester Art Trust, a role which is part of his personal vision (shared by many) to see Chichester become increasingly known as a 'City of the Arts'; the Duke will be interviewed as part of the programme.
