On Thursday 5th May 2016 (Ascension Day) the Bishop of Chichester, Dr Martin Warner will respond to the Archbishops' call by launching the  Diocesan response to the 'Thy Kingdom Come Initiative' at the Sung Eucharist where he will Celebrate and Preach.  This service will take place at 5.30pm, at Chichester Cathedral.

'Thy Kingdom Come' is an initiative by the Archbishops' of Canterbury and York to take place in the week leading up to Pentecost 2016: 8th - 15th May 2016.

The Archbishops' have written to every serving parish priest in the Church Of England expressing their longing  "to see a great wave of prayer across our land, throughout the Church of England and many other Churches."

The week of prayer will culminate in 'Beacon Events' around the country over Pentecost weekend, where people will pray for the renewal of the Holy Spirit and the confidence to show their faith.
