Elections to Deanery Synod 2014 - Why is it so important?

2014 sees elections by members of the Cathedral Synodical Roll of three representatives to the The Chichester Deanery Synod.  In 2015 these Deanery Synod members will help elect the Houses of Laity at both Diocesan and General Synods where issues of importance to the whole church are discussed and voted on.  For instance, it is expected that the General Synod elected in 2015 will make the final decisions regarding women in the episcopate.

To make sure that your voice is heard you must be on the Cathedral Synodical Roll to enable you to vote for our Deanery Synod Representatives in 2014.  Application forms for the Cathedral Synodical Roll are available from the Cathedral Office or from the Vergers.
