Four Eggs Hatch in the last Twenty Four Hours...

Peregrine Falcon

Within the last twenty four hours all four eggs have hatched and the Chichester Cathedral peregrines are once again proud parents, this year to four chicks.  Since 2002 the Cathedral has seen fifty chicks hatch - twenty three males and twenty seven females.  This year's additions brings the total up to fifty four and we wait to see the ratio of males to females.

RSPB spokesperson Mark Weston said: "Witnessing the new chicks hatching is one of the highlights of this project.  Visitors love to come and watch the screens as they emerge; it's a rare sight that people don't often get to experience.  This is the first time that all four of the chicks have hatched in the same day."
