New Iris to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Festival of Flowers

Brand New Iris for Festival of Flowers
Brand New Iris for Festival of Flowers

A unique Iris has been especially grown to commemorate the 10 year anniversary of the Festival of Flowers at Chichester Cathedral. The Iris has been grown by the internationally renowned French grower, Richard Cayeux of Gien and has been named the “Cathédrale de Chichester." It is due to be launched at the Chelsea Flower Show next week.

The photograph here was taken last week on a visit to France with the Friends of Chartres Twining Association to see the irises. From left to right: Graham Pound, the Festival of Flowers designer Jose Morum-Pound and Richard Cayeux. The Iris plants can be seen growing in the background.  For more information and to buy your tickets for the flower festival please click here.
