JULY:

Tuesday 10th: 6.30pm  South Downs Poetry Festival: Poetry and Music.  A Festival of Chichester event celebrating poetry and music in the atmospheric setting of the Cathedral nave.  Join film/TV/stage star Michael Jayston, distinguished poet Robyn Bolam, with South Downs poets Stephanie Morgate and Barry Smith for a stimulating reading of new poetry alongside classic Sussex poems.  Live music by Linda Kelsall-Barnett on classical guitar.  Click here for ticket information.

Friday 27th: 10.00am - 3.00pm (last entry 2.30pm)  Family Activity: Monster Mania!  Design and make your own marvellous monster mask.  Follow the trail through the Cathedral, find the hidden monsters and collect a prize when finished!  Suitable for children aged 3 - 12, accompanied by an adult.  No need to book, just drop in.  £2.50 per child.  Click here for more information.

Saturday 28th July - Sunday 12th August: Open daily 10.00am - 5.00pm with free entry  Southern Ceramic Group - Summer Exhibition.  The 2018 exhibition will showcase over 600 exhibits from 64 ceramicists.  In the Bishop's Kitchen at Chichester Cathedral.  www.southernceramicgroup.co.uk.  Click here for more information.

Friday 3rd: 10.00am - 12noon  Friends Monthly Coffee Morning at 4 Canon Lane.  All are welcome.

Tuesday 21st: 10.00am - 3.00pm (last entry 2.30pm)  Family Activity: Crazy Colours!  Experience the 'crazy colours' around the Cathedral by following a short trail, before collecting a prize.  Design and make a pair of magnificent crazy glasses or a beautiful stained glass window or sun catcher.  £2.50 per child.  Suitable for children aged 3 -1 2, accompanied by an adult. SEPTEMBER:

Friday 7th: 10.00am - 12noon  Friends Monthly Coffee Morning at 4 Canon Lane.  All are welcome.

Wednesday 5th - Saturday 8th: 7.30pm  'Walter & Lenny'  A play which gives a delightful insight into a chance friendship between Walter Hussey, Dean of Chichester and Leonard Bernstein.  In the Cathedral nave.  Ticket information to follow.

Saturday 8th: 1.00pm - 4.00pm See Behind the Scenes at Chichester Cathedral.   As part of Heritage Open Days areas of the Cathedral normally closed to the public will be open to visitors: the Cathedral Song School and Library which are both located high up in the Cathedral's triforium - come and discover the secret chamber!  Free entry and all are welcome (40 spiral steps to each).

Monday 17th: 2.30pm  Cathedral Fellowship get together.  All are welcome.
