OCTOBER:

Friday 5th: 10.00am - 12 noon Friends Monthly Coffee Morning in the Alexandra Room.

Thursday 11th: 1.30pm - 3.30pm  Art Views @ Chichester Cathedral.  Art Views is an opportunity to look at and discuss a selected work of art in Chichester Cathedral.  Share your thoughts and enjoy hearing other people's responses, with a facilitator from Pallant House Gallery.  This session is open to anyone interested in joining the art discussion and is dementia friendly.  Followed by tea and cake in the Eastern Arm of the Cloisters.  £3.50 per person.  Booking is essential.  Please contact Sue Poil on 01243 812497 or email: sue.poil@chichestercathedral.org.uk.

Friday 12th & Saturday 13th: 9.00am - 4.00pm Cathedral Friends and West Sussex Archives Society Second-Hand History Book Sale.  In Vicars' Hall. Free entry, all are welcome.

Wednesday 17th: 10.30am - 1pm  Poppy Brooch Workshop for adults.  Make a beautiful poppy brooch for Remembrance Sunday.  Tickets £10.00.  Click here to book online.  Tickets can also be purchased on 01243 775888 or in person from the Chichester Box Office, The Novium Museum, Chichester.

Friday 26th: 10.00am - 3.00pm (last entry 2.30pm) Family Activity: 'Time Travellers'.  Come along to the Cathedral for some holiday fun! Families can follow a themed trail, collect a prize, and  take part in some autumn art and craft activities. Suitable for children aged 3-11 years (accompanied by an adult).  £2.50 per child.  No need to book, just drop in.

Friday 2nd: 10.00am - 12noon Friends Monthly Coffee Morning at 4 Canon Lane.

Monday 5th - Wednesday 28th: 'Spire of Peace' marking the end of World War One, 'Spire of Peace' is a large scale interactive art installation made from willow, inviting visitors to the Cathedral to consider themes of Remembrance and Peace-making and contribute a personal pledge for peace.  In the Cathedral's North Transept, free entry and all are welcome.

Saturday 17th: 1.30pm - 5.00pm  Gospel Day: 'Learning with Luke' - An afternoon at Chichester Cathedral to explore and celebrate St Luke's Gospel through word, music, prayer and art.  Click here for more information and booking details.

Thursday 22nd November - Sunday 3rd February 2019: Star of Bethlehem by Jayson Haebich.  A spectacular laser Star of Bethlehem will be suspended above the Arundel Screen in Chichester Cathedral.  Open daily with free entry.  Click here for more information.

Thursday 29th: 4.00pm - 8.00pm.  'Chichester Starlight Trail' in partnership with Pallant House Gallery and the Novium Museum.  Come along and meet the artist Jayson Haebich with creative activities inspired by his Star of Bethlehem installation in Chichester Cathedral.  £3.00 per person, suitable for children and adults.  Book in advance or just drop in.  Click here to book tickets.

DECEMBER:

Throughout December: Christmas Carols and Services.  Get into the festive spirit with the many carol services held in the Cathedral throughout December.

Saturday 1st - Friday 21st (excluding Sundays):  Christmas Lunches at 4 Canon Lane.  Three courses with coffee at £25.00 per person.  Reservations on 01243 813585.  Click here to download menu.

Monday 3rd December - Sunday 31st March 2019 (excluding 24th, 25th, 26th December 2018 and 1st January 2019): Winter Break Offer at 4 Canon Lane.  25% discount on accommodation rates.  Reservations on 01243 813585.

Wednesday 5th: 12noon Chichester Cathedral Christmas Lunch Party.  A sherry reception followed by a delicious three course Christmas Lunch.  A chance to meet new friends.  In the Dresden Room at 4 Canon Lane.  £25.00 per person.  Open to all.  Reservations on 01243 782595.

Saturday 8th: 10.00am - 12noon  Chichester Cathedral Friends Christmas Fair, in Vicars' Hall.  All are welcome.
