The Enthronement of the Bishop of Chichester, Dr Martin Warner, is due to take place in Chichester Cathedral in the context of Choral Evensong, at 3.30pm, on Sunday 25th November 2012, the Feast of Christ the King.  The service will welcome the new Bishop to the diocese.

Due to limited space in the Cathedral, the Enthronement service will be by invitation only.  However, for those who might be disappointed not to attend, plans are already taking shape for Bishop Martin to visit all the deaneries in the diocese in the New Year from January 2013 - more details will become available in due course on the Diocesan website.  Other services to welcome Bishop Martin have been agreed and will take place at St Mary the Virgin Rye on 17th November at 11.00am and St Mary's Battle on 18th November at 4.00pm (seating arrangements will be available in due course on the Diocesan website).  A further service is planned for Horsham on 28th November - venue to be confirmed.  For all enquiries please contact Ian Gibson on 01243 782161.

Invitations to the Enthronement service in the Cathedral were posted at the beginning of October.  If you are unable to attend any of the welcome services throughout the diocese and would like to be added to a waiting list for the Enthronement service in the Cathedral please contact Paul Legrave, Liturgy and Music Administrator at:
