Explore the vibrant colours of summer in a spectacular setting! Whether you are a confident old hander or a tentative emerging artist, bring your own equipment/materials and join us in a relaxing and collaborative day of painting.
Artists aged 16 or over of all media (except sculpture, photographic and/or digital) are welcome! If you have any access requirements, please get in touch – we are keen to make participating in this event as accessible as possible.
The days will be led by professional abstract artist Sue England (finalist in Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2019) supported by two local professional artists of diverse disciplines. All completed works may be displayed in an online En Plein Air 2024 gallery to share with friends and family.
Your work may also be exhibited in The Cloisters Kitchen and Garden at the Cathedral and at a pop-up venue in Midhurst or Petworth.
Numbers are limited to 25 per location so please contact Caroline at culturespark2022@gmail.com to register to attend.
Can't make it?
Plein Air Painting will also take place on Friday 21st June at Woolbeding Gardens, Midhurst (11.00am-4.00pm) and Saturday 29th June at Petworth House & Park, Petworth (11.00am-4.00pm)
