Slip through the waters of this beautiful harbour on the virtually silent boat and get up close to many of the birds and habitats that make this place so special. On board will be a wildlife expert who will be able to provide commentary on the natural world as it slips by.
We will promptly meet at 9.40am on the viewing platform in front of the Harbour Office at the end of the road in West Itchenor. Parking is available in the pay and display car park signposted just before the Ship Inn. The boat will depart from the public jetty. Download map and directions here.
We will dock back at Itchenor Jetty sometime before noon and then enjoy a fish and chip lunch, with a cash bar, at the Itchenor Sailing Club before departing at 1.30pm.
What to wear - Solar Heritage is open sided so dress for the weather conditions. It is always cooler on the water, even on sunny days, so it's a good idea to bring an extra layer.
Whilst we do not foresee any problems, the Captain of the Solar will, nearer the time, review the weather forecasts and have the final say as to whether the trip can go ahead.
