Cathedral Fellowship | Artistic Spaces in Sacred Places

Delve deeper into the forthcoming programme of events and exhibitions at Chichester Cathedral, and meet exhibiting artist Kate Viner.

The Cathedral Fellowship provides an opportunity for members of the congregation and wider community to meet informally, to make new friends in an informal setting, enjoy a stimulating talk and a cup of tea together.

For our last meeting before the summer break we are looking forward to hearing from two more of the Cathedral team, with a special introduction to the forthcoming Summer exhibition.

The Cathedral’s Visitor Experience Manager Rebecca Lewry-Gray, and Head of Communications Oliver Tubb, will provide a brief insight into the Cathedral’s forthcoming programme – comprising events, exhibitions, workshops and much more.

Rebecca and Oliver will be joined by artist Kate Viner, whose exhibition Resilience in Clay, will be on display at the Cathedral from June – August 2023. The exhibition comprises several sculptural portraits. Each of the subjects are connected by the fact that they are building a new life in Chichester, some having found refuge from persecution based on conflict and religious, social and or ethnic discrimination.

There is no need to book but we ask for a donation of £2.00 to cover expenses.

The programme for the year from September is nearly complete and I hope to be able to announce the autumn events in a month or two. However there are some slots still available and I would like to hear from you as to what you would enjoy as part of our programme. Similarly if you have an interest or passion you would love to share with us please don’t be shy.
