Choral Evensong - Martus Ensemble

The Martus Ensemble was founded in 2015 for a group of Dutch singers to be able to sing evensongs in England during Christmastime every other year. Most of the singers, as well as the conductor, had sung with the Schola Liturgica before and wanted to start their own musical adventure. Named after the church 'Martuskerk' in Amersfoort where the rehearsals took place, the first trip to Ely Cathedral was prepared. As a project-based choir we have sung in several English Cathedrals, and also in some churches in the Netherlands. We are looking forward to singing and worshipping in Chichester Cathedral this year.
