In common with other Christians around the world, this year we are celebrating the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea from which the Nicene Creed that we say week by week is (largely) derived, expressing the faith of the Church in the one God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
In this illustrated lecture, the Dean of Chichester, The Very Revd Dr Edward Dowler will bring this anniversary together with Chichester950, reflecting on the way in which different aspects and art works in the Cathedral, both ancient and modern, reflect and illuminate the words of the Creed and the faith it expresses.
The programme on each evening will be:
- 6.30pm Drinks
- 7.00pm Lecture
- 7.45pm Questions/discussion
- 8.30pm Finish
