Kyoko Canaway is the Assistant Organist at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge. Following her gap year at Chichester Cathedral, Kyoko went on to study French and German at Caius, where she was also Organ Scholar. As part of her studies, she spent a year studying the organ at the Hochschule in Freiburg. Although much of this time was affected by Covid-19 restrictions, this was nonetheless a fascinating experience. On returning to Cambridge for her final year, Kyoko has made the most of other musical experiences on offer, playing for various BBC3 broadcasts as well as giving recitals at St John’s and King’s College Cambridge. Most recently, she has enjoyed being part of a series of concerts to celebrate the completion of the Orgelbüchlein project, a collective composition project organised by William Whitehead which aimed to complete the unfinished work of the same name by J. S. Bach.

Chichester Cathedral's Lunchtime Concert series is self-supporting, and thrives through the generosity of its audiences. While there is no charge for admission, we suggest a minimum donation of £3 per person, with Gift Aid applied if possible.
