Programme

  • J C Bach - Duet for two violins in D

  • Bohuslav Martinů - Etudes for two violins
  • Liam Connery - Composition
  • Jindřich Feld - First movement from Sonatina for two violins

Flö was formed in 2018 with the intention of performing concerts, as well as playing at functions and other events. Both women are highly trained classical performers and have performed in prestigious venues all over the world including the Royal Albert Hall, Cadogan Hall, Gothenburg Konserthuset and the Konzerthaus Berlin.

While there is limited repertoire for a flute and violin duet, Grace and Liz are often inspired by repertoire for other instruments and other genres and love to arrange them for our instrumental combination. One of their big passions is contemporary music and they try to explore as much as they can, especially in their work with up and coming composers… as you will see here today with Liam Connery’s new composition!

Both Grace and Liz are freelance musicians in London and are experienced ensemble players in chamber music, orchestral and pit work. After a busy Summer and Autumn in 2018, they are looking forward to a series of concerts in 2019 and are already taking bookings for weddings and other events.
