Musician Biographies
Anna Durance is an oboist, educator and producer. She performs regularly with Workers Union Ensemble, Reigate Winds, Test Trio and Goldfield Ensemble. Recent projects include work with BBC Symphony Orchestra, Turner Sims-Third Orchestra artist residency and her EP release 'Taking Flight'. Anna teaches at Portsmouth Grammar and Southampton University.
Alison Hughes studied clarinet performance at Leeds University and RNCM. With chamber ensembles she has won awards from Tunnell Trust and Live Music Now. Orchestral positions include State of Mexico Symphony and Malta Philharmonic. Alison is Principal Clarinet with Orchestra of Sound & Light and works regularly with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra.
Rob Eckett is an experienced professional freelance bassoonist covering the south coast of England. Rob has over 40 years’ experience in orchestral playing, ranging from small chamber work to full scale symphony orchestras and has an extensive repertoire. His mentors have included Martin Gatt (ENO) and Martin Bowen (BBC NOW).
Fiona Brockhurst studied French horn at the Royal College of Music. She enjoys life as a freelance player across the south of England, performing with many orchestras and ensembles including the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Fiona has many pupils of all ages and is often sent to schools introducing the brass family to small children.
Samantha Carrasco studied piano at the Royal College of Music. She performs as recitalist, chamber musician and orchestral pianist with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra. Samantha is Head of Keyboard at Peter Symonds College, Winchester and works as an examiner, trainer and moderator for the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music.

Chichester Cathedral's Lunchtime Concert series is self-supporting, and thrives through the generosity of its audiences. While there is no charge for admission, we suggest a minimum donation of £3 per person, with Gift Aid applied if possible. Donations can be made in the retiring collection, in the Cathedral, at our Visitor’s Desk or at various donation points, using cash, card and contactless or using the button below.
