NMH -Bach Magnificat

In the relentless rush of the Christmas build-up, you are invited to reclaim the calm, expectant devotion of Advent through a special performance of two of J.S. Bach's greatest works - the cantata Wachet auf, ruft uns die Stimme and the Magnificat.

Under the direction of Charles Harrison, Chichester Cathedral's Organist and Master of the Choristers, the singers of NMH - drawn from London conservatoires and consorts and Oxford and Cambridge colleges - will join together with the period instrumentalists of three parts vied - who have recently appeared at Wigmore Hall and The Brunel Museum - for an evening of sublime music-making.

Thanks to the generous support of Chichester Cathedral Friends, the performance is free to attend with a retiring collection. A poster can be downloaded here.
