In this public service, Chichester Cathedral will bring together the people of Chichester to recall the great sacrifice made by millions of soldiers and civilians from 1914-18, including many serving in the Royal Sussex Regiment (whose names are recorded on the walls of St George's Chapel in the Cathedral).
The service will focus on the themes of regret, recognition of our common humanity, and finally reconciling ourselves to working towards a better future.
The Bishop of Chichester, the Rt Reverend Dr Martin Warner, will be preaching at this service, which will be accompanied by readings, poetry, and music from the Cathedral Choir.
Attendees are requested to be seated by 3.15pm.
