Experience the joy of Christmas at Chichester Cathedral, from the hope of Advent to the light of Epiphany.
The Dean of Chichester, the Very Reverend Dr Edward Dowler, said: “As we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus, Chichester Cathedral offers a sacred space for worship, reflection, beauty, and connection. Come and hear the uplifting voices of our renowned choir, bask in the glow of candlelight and Christmas trees, and take time to experience the joy of the season. With special services, concerts, and family activities, we welcome everyone to share in the spirit of Advent, Christmas, and Epiphany within these ancient walls.”

A special trail for children and families

This Christmas, children and families are invited to join Wilfrid the Seal on a magical journey through the Cathedral as he sets out to discover the story at the heart of Christmas. Join Wilfrid as he encounters familiar characters from the Nativity story, explores the Cathedral's colourful artworks, and enjoys moments of festive wonder in one of Chichester’s most beautiful settings.
This self-guided trail is brought to life with charming hand-drawn illustrations by local artist Chloe Robertson, and is designed to delight children and grown-ups alike. Free printed trail handouts are available at the Cathedral entrance - no booking required - but donations very much welcome.
