Chichester Cathedral would like to thank the many people who responded so generously to our call for support during the twelve days of Christmas.
We are absolutely delighted to have achieved our ambitious goal of raising £36,000 to support the Cathedral, and would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you.
All of your donations, large and small, help us to protect the Cathedral’s sacred heritage, and enable us to continue supporting our community and beyond at this difficult time.
Following a highly challenging year, it gave us great joy to invite you to join our celebrations throughout Advent and Christmas - although very different to other years, we received such positive feedback and warm comments on the services we presented, keeping those near and far at the heart of our community.
Music is central to these celebrations and, in a year when churches could only welcome very limited numbers of visitors in person, we live-streamed our special services. These services alone have been seen by over 7,500 viewers online, allowing people all over the world to join us through the festive season.
Many more of you also explored The Chichester Nativity – our new artwork which heralds the heroes of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Your kind support helps the Cathedral and our community on our journey of recovery, as we continue to work hard in responding to the impact of the pandemic.
If you would like to continue to support this recovery, please visit the ‘Support’ page of our website.
