Chichester Cathedral’s Bed and Breakfast accommodation at 4 Canon Lane in the Cathedral Close has been announced as a winner of VisitEngland’s fifth annual ROSE Awards.

The ROSE Awards recognise accommodation providers across England who deliver outstanding customer service. The 100 ROSE Award recipients are nominated by the VisitEngland quality scheme assessors and are selected from assessor comments along with online feedback from visitors.

The Awards showcase England’s variety of high quality accommodation where owners and employees go the extra mile to make their customers’ visits extra special. They cover all types of accommodation from hostels to hotels, self-catering to parks and campsites, and from glamping sites to Bed & Breakfast and guest houses, irrespective of star rating.

Amy Sim, General Manager of Chichester Cathedral Enterprises Ltd, pictured here with colleague Charlotte Girdlestone accepting the Award at a ceremony on 22 October comments, “We are so proud to be among the venues honoured with this Award. My Team and I have worked very hard to provide exceptional customer service and a warm welcome to all those who visit and stay at 4 Canon Lane. The success of the accommodation is integral to support the work of the Cathedral and to further the primary purpose of the historic house to provide a centre of vocation and education.”

4 Canon Lane, a former archdeaconry, is a beautifully restored eight bedroom house situated in the historic Cathedral Close. Primarily a centre for vocation, education and reconciliation, it also offers bed and breakfast accommodation to individuals, groups and companies.
