Chichester Cathedral is delighted to announce the start of a new partnership with Stonepillow. Stonepillow is a homeless charity for the districts of Chichester and Arun, offering shelter, information and support to empower homeless and vulnerable individuals to make positive changes in their lives.

The partnership will run for an initial period of three years.  It builds on the success of the Stonepillow
Big Sleep Out which takes place in the Cathedral grounds each year, raising awareness of local homelessness and the work of Stonepillow, as well as much needed funds to support its work.  New plans include Stonepillow volunteering days for Cathedral staff, congregations and volunteers, and joint work between Stonepillow and the Cathedral to offer creative and vocational learning opportunities for Stonepillow's clients.  Further initiatives are expected as the partnership develops.

The Dean of Chichester, the Very Revd Stephen Waine said "The Cathedral community are excited at the prospect of working with Stonepillow to help homeless people. Stonepillow is a progressive charity with ambitious plans and their work models the compassion that is an important part of our Christian values."
