With the cost of living and climate crisis, many of us are facing tough decisions.

Some have moved to working from home following the pandemic and are facing a winter with increased energy bills. Others are encountering even harder decisions, about whether to heat or eat.

As a result, Chichester Cathedral has registered to become a Warm Space, an initiative designed to signpost anyone in need of warmth, to a warm space to share with others.

The Cathedral is free to enter, and open Monday – Saturday (9.00am – 5.00pm) and Sundays (12.30 – 2.30pm). All are also welcome to join us for our daily schedule of services.

Day Chaplains are available throughout the week for those looking to talk to someone.

We are also hosting a variety of free pop-up events this Autumn/Winter for people to enjoy the Cathedral space, with others:

Coffee, following the Sung Eucharist

Following our 11.00am Sung Eucharist each Sunday (to which all are welcome to attend), we invite you to join us for a warm drink in the Cathedral’s South Transept.

The Chichester Cathedral Friends’ Coffee Morning

The Cathedral Friends have supported the life and work of the Cathedral for over 80 years. They are delighted to welcome to their coffee morning, taking place on the first Saturday of each month (10.00 – 11.15am). Join us for a warm drink, and to meet other people from the local area.

Lunchtime Concerts

Our popular lunchtime concerts take place on Tuesdays at 1.10pm during term time, in the spectacular setting of the Cathedral Nave. They are free and last approximately 50 minutes.
