Following the announcement on 23rd June by the Prime Minister Boris Johnson, public worship at Chichester Cathedral will resume from Sunday 5th July 2020.

We are aiming to hold short services on Sunday 5th at 8am, 9.30am and 11am, closing with Said Evening Prayer at 3.30pm.

As we await further Government guidance, in due course we will be releasing more details. We will also be sharing the new measures we have introduced to ensure that worshippers, or those visiting for prayer and reflection, can do so safely.

The Dean of Chichester, The Very Reverend Stephen Waine, said:

“It is with great pleasure that we can announce the resumption of public services. We look forward to welcoming worshippers and in this way continuing the Cathedral’s witness to the love of God for his people which has endured in this city for 900 years.”
