Festival of Flowers

Chichester Cathedral’s Festival of Flowers is the flagship fundraising event of the Chichester Cathedral Restoration and Development Trust, taking place every two years within the magnificent setting of the Cathedral.

This spectacular celebration of floral artistry transforms the Cathedral with breathtaking arrangements created by leading designers and talented local arrangers. Each festival raises vital funds to support the care of Chichester’s 950-year-old Cathedral and the wider life of this extraordinary place – including world-class music, learning and community engagement, and the preservation of its historic fabric.

Over the past 28 years, the Festival of Flowers has raised more than £1.4 million to help protect and sustain this historic place of worship for future generations.

Festival of Flowers 2026

With Caroline Daines, founder of the acclaimed Sussex-based floral design studio Nordic Twigs, as the Festival Designer, the Festival of Flowers took place from 3 – 6 June 2026.

We are busy behind the scenes 'counting the money' and will be making an announcement soon about how many people attended and the money raised towards the ongoing care and development of Chichester Cathedral.

Festival of Flowers 2028

The Preview Evening will take place on Tuesday 6 June, with the Festival running 7–10 June 2028.

How you can get involved

Become a Festival of Flowers Volunteer

With over 10,000 visitors expected over the four-day event, we need a community of supporters to help with stewarding and maintain the flow of visitors. Volunteers will ensure that displays are not touched or moved, answer queries, and help where needed. If you would like to join us as a volunteer, please contact flowerfestival@chichestercathedral.org.uk. We also need volunteers to help in the marketplace whilst the Festival is open, and to support the flower arrangers during the build-up to its opening.
