This spectacular celebration of floral artistry transforms the Cathedral with breathtaking arrangements created by leading designers and talented local arrangers. Each festival raises vital funds to support the care of Chichester’s 950-year-old Cathedral and the wider life of this extraordinary place – including world-class music, learning and community engagement, and the preservation of its historic fabric.
Over the past 28 years, the Festival of Flowers has raised more than £1.4 million to help protect and sustain this historic place of worship for future generations.
We are delighted to announce that Caroline Daines, founder of the acclaimed Sussex-based floral design studioNordic Twigs, , will be the Designer for the Festival of Flowers 2026.
Inspired by her Swedish heritage and the rolling landscapes of West Sussex, where she has lived for nearly 15 years, Caroline’s work blends Nordic simplicity with Britain’s rich natural beauty. Her floral designs are celebrated for their natural elegance, seasonal abundance and their ability to evoke the beauty of the outdoors.

With over 10,000 visitors expected over the four-day event, we need a community of supporters to help with stewarding and maintain the flow of visitors. Volunteers will ensure that displays are not touched or moved, answer queries, and help where needed. If you would like to join us as a volunteer, please contact flowerfestival@chichestercathedral.org.uk. We also need volunteers to help in the marketplace whilst the Festival is open, and to support the flower arrangers during the build-up to its opening.
