In 2026, more than 11,000 people visited the Festival, which celebrated its 30th anniversary with more than 60 floral displays throughout the Cathedral. Visitors told us how much they enjoyed the creativity, beauty and atmosphere, while hundreds of people worked behind the scenes to bring the Festival to life.
From experienced floral designers and arrangers to schools, community groups and volunteers, the Festival brings together people with a shared enthusiasm for flowers and creativity. For visitors, it is a chance to explore the Cathedral, discover something unexpected around the next corner and enjoy the Festival Market and Plant Market in the historic Cloisters.
The 2026 Festival also raised almost £175,000 to support Chichester Cathedral, helping to care for this remarkable building and the work that takes place here.

Looking ahead to 2028
We are now starting to plan the next Festival, with new ideas and opportunities being developed alongside some of the things that visitors have come to love.

Chichester Cathedral’s Festival of Flowers is a biennial event organised by Chichester Cathedral Restoration and Development Trust (charity no. 1156729) . The Festival has raised over £1.55 million for the Cathedral since its inception in 1996.
