The first will be on Thursday 7th July, 10.00am at 4 Canon Lane with the Reverend Canon Chancellor Dan Inman. Dan will be talking about the renowned book The Old Ways by Robert Macfarlane.
Dan says, ”One of the surprising gifts of successive lockdowns was how we discovered walks and paths, and our surrounding countryside, in a way that we had hitherto not known. In this, perhaps the best of his travel writing, Robert Macfarlane explores the ancient paths that criss-cross our land – their often sacred significance, the stories that accompany them, and his own often bewildering experiences along the way. A masterpiece of its genre, The Old Ways opens up new vistas for every reader and will, I think, be of lasting significance for those who read it for Book at Breakfast.”
