Musician Biographies
Margalida Moll Salord is a concert pianist from Ciutadella de Menorca (Spain). She has been described by the Spanish music magazine Consell Català de la Música as a “magnificent artist with a promising present and future of international success”.
She has performed as a soloist in a wide range of prestigious venues, including Wigmore Hall, Steinway Hall, the University of London, Oxford University Church, Blackheath Halls, St James’ Piccadilly, St Mary-le-Strand, the Victoria and Albert Museum, Charlton House, Bushy House, and the Amaryllis Fleming Concert Hall, among others. Her concert activity has taken her throughout the UK and Spain, with appearances at venues such as the Royal Overseas League in London, the Ateneo de Madrid, La Pedrera and El Jardí dels Tarongers in Barcelona, the Saura Palace in Ciutadella de Menorca, and the Principal Theatre of Maó. In 2019, Margalida performed Takashi Yoshimatsu’s Cyberbird Concerto at the International Music Festival of Maó and Ciutadella with the OCIM Orchestra.
Margalida completed her Master of Performance in Piano with Distinction at the Royal College of Music in London, where she studied with Professor Gordon Fergus-Thompson. She also obtained her Bachelor of Music at the Royal College of Music, studying with Ruth Nye and Gordon Fergus-Thompson. During her studies, she was supported by several awards, including the Royal College of Music Pauline Hartley Award and the Kathleen Trust.
Born in Ciutadella de Menorca, Margalida began piano lessons at the age of six. She later studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School under Marcel Baudet and Renana Gutman. She has received masterclasses from distinguished musicians including Piers Lane, David Dolan, and Josep Colom, and is an artist represented by Talent Unlimited in London.

Chichester Cathedral's Lunchtime Concert series is self-supporting, and thrives through the generosity of its audiences. While there is no charge for admission, we suggest a minimum donation of £7 per person, with Gift Aid applied if possible. Donations can be made in the retiring collection, in the Cathedral, at our Visitor’s Desk or at various donation points, using cash, card and contactless or using the button below.
