Musician Biographies
Rebecca Hepplewhite (nee Hewes) performs extensively as a soloist and chamber musician worldwide, including concerts at the Wigmore Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal Albert Hall, the Lincoln Center and Hong Kong Cultural Centre. She also maintains a busy freelance orchestral career. Passionate about new music, she has commissioned, premiered and recorded many new works, both for solo cello and for mixed ensembles. She performs internationally as part of the renowned Svyati Duo with organist Julian Collings, with whom she has recorded two critically-acclaimed CDs of music for cello and organ. Other releases include chamber works on NMC, Usk and Chandos labels. Forthcoming highlights include performances of Saint-Saëns Cello Concerto, Elgar Cello Concerto and two further concert tours of the USA.
Caroline Tyler performs internationally including at London’s Barbican Hall, Istanbul’s AKM, and Prague’s Martinů Hall. Recent solo highlights include Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto no. 2 at St Mary le Strand and St James’s Piccadilly. A prizewinning GSMD honours graduate, Caroline collaborates with the Guildhall Session Orchestra and was the test pianist for the technology used in Yuja Wang’s 4D Playing with Fire project. In music education, Caroline is an ABRSM examiner and Royal Over-Seas League adjudicator. She is also a composer published by ABRSM and EVC Music. Her work has been performed by Britten Sinfonia and soloists Rachael Lloyd and Thomas Elwin. During 2026-2027 she looks forward to her first liturgical work being sung by the choir of St Saviour's Pimlico, and performances of Rachmaninoff’s Concerto no. 1 in both its string quintet and symphony orchestra arrangements.
Caroline and Rebecca celebrate a 25-year milestone of friendship and artistic collaboration with a series of duo recitals through 2026 and 2027, focusing on Rachmaninoff’s Cello and Piano Sonata.

While there is no charge for admission, we suggest a minimum donation of £7 per person, with Gift Aid applied if possible.
