We are seeking Spire Tour Guides to offer visitors an engaging and unique visit to the lantern at the base of the Cathedral Spire. 

The Spire Tour Guide acts as an ambassador for the Cathedral, taking visitors through nearly 950 years of history, to Chichester Cathedral’s Lantern. The journey includes climbing winding staircases and exploring roof spaces previously closed to the public. Offering breath-taking panoramic views, visitors can see as far as the Isle of Wight, Portsmouth, Goodwood and more.

We are seeking volunteers to welcome and engage visitors as they enter the Cathedral. 

Our 'Welcome' is at the heart of all that we do in the Cathedral. The Welcomer acts as an ambassador for the Cathedral and, like other visitor-facing volunteer colleagues in the Welcome team, provides a positive and sensitive welcome, offering information, help and advice. 

No previous experience is required but we do need Welcomers who have:
